7th Ed. 1500 pts vs skaven

Hi there, Im new to this forum and in WFB too actually. I've played few games with my friend (180 pts, 2x 12 skink skirmishers with blowpipes ) but I've made my first army list in life, and I wanted to read some more proficient opinions about it

So let's start with:

Hero:
405-Skink priest lvl 2 on stegadon with EoTG, with (?) palaque of tepok

Rest:
285- 3 krox with 24 skinks
78- 6 chameleons with (?) commander
2x 210- 2x 15 saurus with spears and full command squad (musician etc.)
2x 90- 2x 12 skinks skirmishers with (?) commander
---------
1368 pts.

I'am thinking about 4x terradrons or additional skink priest lvl 2.
I know that putting skink on steg with EoTG may seem insane but that is my first list, so please, comment it

you could write XHFNTHDI as long as we get what you are talking about, you posted the list for comments on its viability in a gmae not for its spelling.

skinks + kroxigor: i don't like those units so i'll let others comment on their viability
chameleon skinks: never used them but i see their point, alltough the champion is rather useless, you are paying points for +1 BS, point wich probably could be spent elsewhere
saurus: i like the 5x3 formation with spears but again the champion is rather useless since he costs as much as another saurus and isn't as strong. he has 1 extra attack while another saurus has 1 extra wound and 2 extra attacks. unless you want to protect a character from challenges i suggest you drop the champion in both units
skink skirmishers: awesome unit, see chameleon skinks for champion, same thing here
terradons: really nice unit, i wouldn't leave home without it.
another priest: i usually either take 2 priests + plaque of tepok for magic offense or 1 priest with diadem of power for magic defense. if you have the points i suggest the 2nd priest since lore of heavens can be good vs. skaven if you get the commet or rerolls for saurus/skinks

priest on stegadon with EotG: its not insane its actually one of the best combos in the book, it may not do much against skaven since they have high numbers of cheap troops but still usefull if you manage to hit enough units with burning alignment, also a flank charge from the stegadon will break any skaven unit unless it has a plague furnace [or screaming bell in 2k+ pts games] in it.

my suggestion would be: 1 or 2 salamanders for the panic checks it causes when killing things. skaven might have high leadership (9 with priest or chieftain and 10 in 2k+ gmaes) but as you start removing ranks panic beomes really usefull

I agree with Bibamus. Though I would trade in the camelions for the terradons and drop the Skrox (skink/Krox) unit for another unit of Saurus or five CoC.

Thanks for your replies I was also thinking, does steg with EoTH chosen as mount for my priest count as rare choice?

Nope, it doesn't take up a Rare. Essentially it's 'free' except the points you pay for it.

just to clarify, characters + their mount only take up the one character slot unless their entry says otherwise. That goes for any army.

Yep you got it Lizies no longer have Double or Triple slot units.
