Hi everyone, soon I'm going to battle my daemon friend who use a heavy magic list with something like 3 herald magicians and some pink horrors.
This is the list I have prepared to battle him:

Scar Veteran, General, CO, LA, Shield of the Mirrored Pool, Sword of Battle - 160 pts

Scar Veteran, CO, LA, SH, BSB, Plaque of Dominion - 178 pts

Skink Priest, LVL 2, EOTG, Diadem of Power, DS - 440 pts

15 Saurus warriors, Full Command, spears - 210 pts

15 Saurus warriors, Full Command, spears - 210 pts

10 Skink Skirmishers - 70

10 Skink Skirmishers - 70

5 SCOC - 176

Total: 1513, which is alright as we can have up to 15 pts above the limit.

My plan is to put the veterans with my saurus to make his fear useless and put my defensive EOTG between them so he can put his ward to use. When they get close He can unleash his charge. My 2 veterans are equipped to baffle and annoy his wizards. My 2 units of skirmishers will do the usual frustration while my SCOC will lurk on the flank. My priest has some dispelling ability thanks to the diadem and can even unleash some offensive magic.

Critics are welcome as I'm not a very experienced player :D
Also, can you give me some advice about how can I lower this list to 1k?

Thanks

You are very hero heavy... was it necessary to tailor against his list?

If it was, then all your heroes are fine, but if it wasn't, you could do with loosing at least the BSB veteran.

If you want, you could just drop the champs from both saurus units (champs are unnecessary unless you want protection from challenges if there's a hero in the unit), taking you to 1489pts.
