8th Ed. 1500 End Times Escalation

It is month 4 in an End Times escalation campaign where each month the point cost is increased by 250pts. I just played the 1000pt game and I need input on my list as I have not faired too well. I play against 3 opponents, Dark elves, vampire counts and high elves. I am specifically trying to tailor the list to counter vampire counts. Without further adu

I plan to put old bloods on foot into the saurus warriors. maybe adding terradons. as many temple guard as i can fit. just had to get kroak asap. What do you guys think??
 
I think you are really heavy on the character section there and therefore I think you are lacking a bit on the units. Especially your temple guard are quite small. Are you able to change the base of your army during the escalation league or do you just add things as you progress into your list?

If you can change I think you could try combining the saurus a bit to about 20-25 and then with the leftover points grow the temple guard a bit.

Sadly there is no changing. The list escalates to 3000 points so i'm not worried. I'm going to add as much temple guard as possible for 1750 and probably keep my hereos cap maxed out with TG. I need a way to make the warriors more hard hitting. should i swap old bloods for scar vets and mix them instead? should i just throw a chief in there with an egg of quango? any thoughts?

As it sits now, I am at 1097 (way underpoints @1250) so that by 1500 I can drop in Lord Kroak ASAP. I desperately need a threat in my TG bunker as they are the biggest target. My carno just seems to be redirected, or just outmanouvered and usually doesn't do much (which is better than dying, we have to roll on character injury tables)

Should I upgrade the skink priest with an anchient stegadon in the future? Crash him into Vampire counts and just vassal Itza over and over? I am salavating. What do you guys think?
 
What are the rule your group is using in this campaing? i'm thinking about something like this and i'm just curius?
