7th Ed. 1000 point list

First time poster looking for help with my start up army

Army list:

Skink Priest, level 2
Skink Skirmishers x 10, blowpipes
Saurus Warriors x 20, spears, FC
Temple Guard x 10, FC
Cold One Cav x 8, FC, Sun Standard of Chotec

Total points = 1001p

I mainly play against my friend with an Empire army and soon to be against another friend with a Woodelf army.
The Empire army usually hurts most with it's Knights (unit of 10 knights) and Pistolier Fast Cav.

Looking for ways to improve my current army and what I should buy next to grow it (current budget of about $80CAD)

Seems a pretty solid list but i can't offer any suggestions because you havent stated the number of cav or tempies (personally i think tempies are the best!)

Fixed, sorry I had a big post typed up before that one and then the site ate it >< So I made a smaller one and forgot to add that hehe.

One thing I don't quite understand with TG is that they can use Halberds (which I believe is the weapon most (if not all) the arms for the TG's come equipped with) yet they also have a shield. So is it I have to declare whether I use the halberds or a hw + shield?

"At the start of the first turn of a combat, each such unit can choose which of their weapons to use (the entire unit must use the same weapon, but characters can always choose seperately) Whichever weapons they use must then be used for the entire combat." pg 34 WRB

switch the standard of chotec for huanchis banner.... the only shots that will hurt the cav will not use bs anyways... huanchis banner might let u get the charge on his knights instead of the other way around
