8th Ed. 1000 point battle, very first list/battle

Hello all, ive been following this forum for sometime reading over lists and checking out the painting section. I finally have some units done and want to test them in the battlefield. I have a good amount of stuff but some stuff is unpainted and some isnt put together so my list is basically what i have available. This is my first list so sorry if i butcher it, but please give me some comments and criticisms!

I needed points to make it 1000 points, I have a couple extra saurus warriors and like 2 more skink skirmishers. I have 3 krox but dont have enough skinks to group them so this is the list i came up with. I plan on putting the scar vet with the saurus and the priest to just chill and cast spells. ive read the rule book sometime back, so know a lot of basic stuff, but not really fimiliar with a full battle. Ill be playing a well experienced beastmen player. Any help would be awesome to make this list a bit better. Thanks ahead of time for any responses. Cheers!

If you are out of models you really cannot improve the list much because most suggestions will be different models. Namely dropping the cavalry and adding Salamanders, Stegadons, skinks with Krox or eveb something else.

Priest is illegal for 2 arcane items.

Especially against Beastmen, the scar-vet should be on a cold one.

Just play the game, have some fun, and try to learn something. Don't worry about the outcome, you need more experience first.

Thanks david, the match actually didnt happen. So I bought a little time for finishing some models. I know im in need of some other models. I actually have a steg I just purchased I havent put together as well as 1 salamander. I have a slann thats finished but my temple guard unfortunately arent so im trying to get a few things going. I appreciate the help. When the battle happens sometime this month ill hopefully be better prepared with models.
