8th Ed. 1,000 point battle list.

I've got my first game on Tuesday, gonna be more of a practice game before I start playing more competitively and at higher point levels, haven't actually played in almost 10 years :/ haha, need to familiarise myself with the rules, however this is my current army list i'm thinking of using.

Heroes
Scar-Vet w/shield + light armour, cold one, piranha blade and bane head. (163 points)
Skink priest w/ Plaque of Tepok (80 points)

Core
Saurus Warriors x 20 w/full command (250 points)
Skink unit x 20 w/ standard bearer and 2x Kroxigors (216 points)
Skink Skirmishers x 10 (70 points)

Special
Chameleon skinks x 6 (60 points)

Rare
Salamander hunting pack +1 extra handler (80 points)

This current list leaves me at 921 points, i'm not sure whether to add more Saurus or skinks to the mix. I have an extra krox unbuilt yet, could possibly add him along with four more skinks to bulk that unit up and get closer to the max points.

Any advice would be greatly received!

enchanted shield is 15 points because we have to use the value from our army book. I don't have my book in front of me, but I think the point calculation is off for your SV.

Ahh yeah I forgot to check that :/ dont mind dropping the dawnstone with a 2+ AS

yeah I noticed this during deployment, don't know where I got 10 points per model from, just dropped 2 skinks from my skrox
