i am usually glad.
At least, they're sparing me to make ANOTHER trip table-sink.

Anyway, the golden rule should be "i cook, you wash"
While I agree that is how it should be... in my house we have an issue with my wife being a spoon or cup dropper. If I'm cleaning dishes I'll ask her to grab all the things she left out and typically half way through she will show up with two or three cups and spoons. This wouldn't be an issue but when I'm done she usually shows up with one or two more. I am a clean person, I work in cleaning so I hate having a dirty home and leaving that many cups or spoons, and yes it's always spoons, is unpleasant. In her defense I was raised in a military family and she was raised by a control issue mother who did everything for her but I digress.
