The never-ending battle against woke Hollywood and SJW infused entertainment media [trigger warning]

The woke destroyed so many of my favourite movie and tv franchises. They came for Star Wars. They came for Star Trek. They came for the MCU. They came for LOTR. They infected the television that I watch and the video games that I play. They seemed unstoppable, unrelenting and driven by a singular unshakable purpose. They are hurting today; hurting badly. Trump hurt them. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Today is a good day. Today we won and they lost.

Will he really be a solution to the woke problem, though? From what I can see, all he cared about was using people's fear of wokism to get himself back into power. Woke films and beliefs were still around at the time of his previous run as president (the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy for instance) and he did nothing to put a stop to it all then... who's to say he'll do it now?

Not to mention he's a friend of Putin and other fellow aspiring dictators, a lover of America's crackpot 'right to bear arms' that results in so many needless gun murders every year, a greedy uber-capitalist and known criminal who believes he is above the law just because he has money, and a proponent of the 'America First' rhetoric that has made the US such an untrustworthy snake-in-the-grass since the two World Wars.

From what I can see, he's just a source of a different kind of BS.

No, he will not. Politics is downstream of culture. Orange Man is a symptom of cultural changes, not a driver of them. Voting him in was largely a protest vote.

That said, it helped that Harris was unlikeable and freezes up whenever her teleprompter freezes up.

Maybe, maybe, Trump winning the popular vote will convince Hollywood executives, "Maybe we aren't the majority. We don't have to cater to Right wing people, but maybe we should at least not actively insult and ostracize them."

I'm not holding my breath.

But to win the culture war, one must vote with one's wallet.

Do not give money to people who hate you. Do not pay money for things you do not enjoy. If there is something you like, give the creators money, don't pirate it.

He won because of the economy and the border. Period. Those were the biggest issues in the election by a long shot.

A (lesser) sleeper issue was transwomen playing in women's sports and invading women-only spaces.

No, I was being hyperbolic. He has much bigger fish to fry. However, he will have inadvertent effects, both direct and indirect...

  • Trump uniquely hurts the woke in a way that no one else can. They are having a full meltdown at the moment; a true heartfelt pain. They ruined franchises I cared about and now the tables have been turned on them; karma. I extract great joy from their misery (like a Chaos god, but one that feeds off of leftist tears!). Sweet, sweet revenge!
  • Trump is entertaining. I pay way more attention to US politics than I do Canadian politics. If my franchises are ruined and no longer providing entertaining content, then Trump's antics will entertain me in the interim. It's the only "reality TV" that I enjoy!
  • As @Scalenex described above, Trump winning the popular vote might give woke Hollywood something to think about. It's a strong signal that all their woke messaging (that is costing them hundreds of millions of dollars) might not be working as they intend. We could potentially see a slight course correction from existing studios, or embolden new creators/studios/directors to create politically neutral stories.
  • Trump's presidency is an anti-woke weapon. It can be easily thrown into the faces of the woke in any confrontation. A cheap tactic perhaps, but one that is both easy to employ and ruthlessly efficient. Let the TDS ensue!
  • Trump has promised to clean up women's sports. Transwomen have no place in women's sports. While I don't typically watch women's sports, I think it is imperative that it be fair and competitive for the ladies that take part. It's an important step in the right direction.
  • Had Harris have won, the woke would have only have been further emboldened, they have now been robbed of that momentum.

Oh... and how could I forget... the memes! The glorious memes!
