Building a kroot force
My son felt that my fields needed a dinosaur attack. He is going to be amazing to game with in a few years.View attachment 152939
Yes! He is already wanting to paint and use minis. My Zombicide models tend to be the only ones that are durable enough right now. We lost his older brother to video games but I'm hopeful this one will like the life.Amazing! the training of the young one will start soon
Grrr, !mrahil
Thank you for calling them by their proper name, Imperial Guard. Are you actually able to play 1st edition Xwing? I loved it and possibly overcommited to it but then 2nd edition came out and the community disappeared overnight.Played a game of 6th 40K against an uncle of mine on Tuesday, when he brought his new Imperial Guard army to face my Tyranids for the first time. Due to being new to the army, it turned out his troops will need a lot of additional training in bug-hunting (that's if they weren't all shot by Commissars for losing... *BLAM*).
Today, I got one of the few remaining available boxes of the 7th Edition Clanrats and a 1st Edition U-Wing Expansion pack for X-Wing for my Birthday, and bought myself one of the new Old World Boar Boyz boxes.
YAY!Completing my entry for the painting competition
Happy Birthday!for my Birthday

I got a game in with him last week in actual fact, my Rebels suffering a massive case of bad luck and losing spectacularly to the Empire
Sadly that was my case as well. I have enough hobbies that had I couldn't justify the cost. It doesn't hurt that I wasn't interested in learning yet another new ruleset. I'm mainly a Scum and Villainy guy but I'd bought a lot of Empire and Rebels since my eldest son was interested. Lost him to video games and the who were still interested in xwing wanted basic games with none of the shenanigans that Guri and company can do. I'd have loved to get some of the newer ships as the Seperatists looked great.I don't know of any clubs that still play it, but I still play 1st Edition with my father at home, taking it in turns to be Rebels or Empire. I got a game in with him last week in actual fact, my Rebels suffering a massive case of bad luck and losing spectacularly to the Empire (if only we'd had something like that happen in the actual Original Trilogy... and no ESB doesn't count, that was only a very minor victory for the Empire).
I never got into 2nd as, like most people it seems, I just wasn't interested in having to replace all the 1st Edition cards and tokens with visually less appealing counterparts, even if 2nd Edition supposedly is more balanced. It's a shame because I really liked the look of the Republic and Separatist ships released for 2nd... if only they'd been released for 1st. It also doesn't help that the 1st Edition card creator site no longer works, otherwise I would have been eager to have a go at converting the Prequel stuff to 1st Edition.
Looking at getting into Blood & Crowns at some point?
No. I work for war games Atlantic. I'm the digital products manager. Miniatures are both my job and a hobby for me.Looking at getting into Blood & Crowns at some point?
Good luck.Bought some more supplies yesterday including one of those wearable zoom lenses. Going to try and get the majority of turret stuff painted for 3 Chimeras.
Oh damn, I hope that doesn't happen to me. I'm hoping to use them to paint neater and also sculpt some small stuff. At the very least, they have a head mounted LED on a pivot so I can keep things lit up.I've tried those, and while i appreciate the lenses, they always gave me headaches over periods longer than 30 minutes.
