Hey guys,

I would also like to quickly introduce myself.

My name is Marcel and I am located in Heidelberg, Germany.

I started with WHFB ~2005 and played very unsuccessfully for a few years, then took a break.
I returned ~ 2012 again with 40k, trying myself through a few armies. With new relationships I kind of cut down on too many nerdy hobbies and made a quick pause again.

Since 2023 I am back! Played 40k competitively, also going on some bigger GTs. But also not very succesful.
After a switch to Warcry for a while, now with the new AoS 4.0 some of my friends want to start there. And I will join them.

I will try to keep the competitiveness DOWN to also keep the frustration to a minimum if possible. Because for frustrating games I will keep playing 40k.
So I will slowly start my new Seraphon army...

So far I have two Boxen of Hunters of Huanchi, the Starblood Stalkers and a Box of Kroxigors I played in Warcry. I was in London and got the Starterbox for a steal. Even though I know the books are outdated, I really wanted to have them... and a spearhead is also on the way.

From there I will see where to expand... Wanting to go probably to a faster starborne battleforce looking maybe Kroak, some Skinks, an Astrolith and a priest.
But I have never played a single AoS game and as I said: I want to start nicely there and NOT meta-chase like I did and do in 40k.

Best wishes and have a nice week,
Marcel

Welcome along!

Nice to see new faces around.
It looks like a good starting number of models!

Feel free to start a painting blog to show your progress and keep motivation on doing so. If you have questions try to search the rich history of threads or ask it and someone will try to answer it.

Have fun in our Jungle and with the hobby

Thank you!

I will most definetively do that.
Unfortunately I need to first finish my Sororitas for a tournament in two weeks and then paint my Sylvaneth Warcry-Warband.
And I swore to myself not to touch the new plastic toys before the others are ready for their battles ;-)

I like those kind of promises ;)
You are free to show anything hobby related in your painting blog, other factions, other models, other games...

Good luck with your deadline and the tournament itself

Maybe someone can answer here:

Yesterday when I made a Post when the faction pack arrived, I posted in the right subforum.
But up to now, my post was not approved.

What does it need for me to post in the "regular" parts of the forum?

I think this has to do with the spam-blocker. The general rule is that a new account has to have at least an X amount of posts before you are able to share links ;)

I don't think it is a high number, somewhere around 8 I guess
@Killer Angel can you confirm?

Ah, thank you!

So regular posting should be okay, but dangerous links need to be approved?
Sounds legit!

Then I will try to create some high-value posts to get over this restriction asap ;-)

Hola, fellow Child of the Gods.

For starting your Seraphon army collection slowly, you picked the best time really, what with the new edition's Spearhead Mode. That strikes me as the very definition of quick to build and quick to play, easing you into the Age of Sigmar. :-P

Looking forward to seeing more from you.

I kind of also bought a Bastilodon, 3 Aggradons and a second Slann today. I think I am close to 2k already and just look gor the last key units like an Astrolith bearer or any kind of skink priest

I found out, there is a discord server from Lustria Online.

Is this still the case? All the links I found about that online expired so I dont know if the server is dead? But sure its hard to join..

Thank you very much!

I am happy and sad at the same time...

The Discord is super nice and a extremely nice spawning pool to be around. Unfortunately I understand now, why also this forum is not quite as much visited as it deserves..
