Whether he uses his powers for good or evil, manipulating the press is Elon Musk's greatest ability.

Midnight's Edge predicted that Hollywood would see the success of the Barbie movie and take the wrong lessons from it.

Midnights Edge had the opinion that the Barbie movie was successful because it stayed true to the source material and made a movie for its original fanbase rather than try to bully and twist a fanbase into liking something else.

The wrong lesson is to think that the Barbie movie was successful because it had Margot Robbie in it. I think they are going to try to making a Pirates movie with Margot Robbie in the lead.

I don't think Margot Robbie is a bad actress but I don't think she can carry a Pirates of the Caribbean movie by herself. I hope it's possible to have a good Pirates movie without Johnny Depp in it but I don't think it's possible. At least not now.

Muppet Treasure Island was a good pirate movie in my opinion, and it did not have Johnny Depp it. It did have Tim Curry and Billy Connolly in it...that is nothing to sneeze at.

A good pirate movie (that is not Pirates of the Caribbean), sure it's possible. But Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow IS Pirates of the Caribbean. I can't see it ever succeeding without him.

No matter what you may think of him, if by some miracle he pulls this off, he is a hero of the (non-woke, a.k.a. normal) people....

I'm still sceptical. I honestly only think he does these things to try and lure normal, non-woke people into buying his stuff and generally supporting him financially. He's still a greedy and selfish Ferengi who thinks of nobody but himself and his own business image, and no amount of pandering to our audience will change my opinion of him.

That planned Pirates of the Caribbean idea sounds less like Pirates of the Caribbean and more like a female version of The Goonies.

Prepare to fire broadside! This film will sink with all hands lost.
 
So Disney has 1,831,000,000 shares of stock. It's valued at about $100/share.

Google says Elon Musk's networth is roughly 194 billion dollars.

That means, on paper, Elon Musk is worth more than Disney.

I do not believe Elon Musk could liquidate his empire and receive 194 billion dollars. I also believe if he tried to buy ALL of Disney, the $100/share price would go through the roof.

Hypothetically, 5% of Disney's shares would be enough to get rid of Iger and KK and the entire Disney board if Musk gave proxy voting rights to Nelson Peltz.

Fun to think about it. We'll see if it happens though.

Let's be honest, he could literally single handily pull your entire family from a burning building, while sustaining great injury to himself, and it still probably wouldn't change your opinion of him! :D

I would assume he staged the fire, so he could do the rescue with cameras present.

That said, I don't hate him. I don't dislike him for his ferengi-ness, I dislike him for being an apologist for the CCP.

But do know who else is an apologist for the CCP? Bob Iger.
