GW News: LAS VEGAS OPEN 2025

I really don't know how to feel about those Cities of Sigmar troops. It's like they're trying to do at least 2 different things with their design and not quite getting either.

If you missed them, this guys are leaving CoS, enjoy rebasing them to squares if you have to:

Surprised-midly disappointed at Demies leaving.

It still amazes me how they're removing all the 'good' elves from the Cities of Sigmar range, and are keeping the pure evil Dark Elves as allies for the benign humans and Dwarves of the Cities.

But then maybe these are simply a placeholder until GW decide to make a unique flavour of Elves for the Cities range in a future edition, after they've release the humans for this edition, whereupon the Dark Elves will move over to the TOW range.

Good to know that the Shadow Warriors, Phoenix Guard and Phoenix should hopefully be resurrected in TOW, I've still been meaning to pick some of those up for my High Elves.

Agreed, it doesn't make much sense at all.

I don't like the idea of GW discontinuing models in a game system. In this case, that game system is AoS, so it doesn't really matter, but its a bad precedent to set for other GW games like TOW.

Well, I’m pleased to see GW didn’t fiddle the results for the Battle of Oghram campaign after all...

Meaning we are rewarded with some magnificent reinforcements for the Swarms of the Hive Mind!

New Hormagaunts, Termagants (with the return of some weapons not seen since the 2nd Edition book) and Genestealers:

Scaled-up Lictor (with a new optional build, the Neurlictor) and a Biovore/Pyrovore dual-kit:

And, last but the opposite of least, are the Norn Emissary and Assimilator, hopefully the Tyranids’ answer to countering Knight cheese:

All-round an excellent range of models! I already have plenty of Hormagaunts, Termagants and Genestealers so my wallet will sigh in relief that I won’t need to buy any of those, but I do worry just how expensive these new monsters are going to be...

Loved all the new 'nids. Glad the popular vote was heard, altough we're gonna have to wait for multipart Termis and Jumprimaris now.

  • Jeanstealers on packs of 10 and optional tentacle heads.
  • Gaunts seem to be a dual kit, but Termas seems to have "improper adult toys" for weapons. :bag:
  • Lictors are fire, surprised on the Neuro one.
  • Vores look like Roaches from StarCraft II and I like them. The gorilla gun niche will be filled by the Exocrine.
  • Nornies are almost Knight size and far more brutal looking. What a project.

Well well, here it is at last... Elves and dwarves will gradually be leaving the Cities of Sigmar faction :(

It looks like they are phasing out all the old plastic kits that made the crossover from WHFB to AOS before they will kick off TOW o_O

Grrr, !mrahil
Honestly, good. They've always just been placeholders and should've been seperated into their own faction ages ago.
Hopefully we'll see the dwarves and evil elves become a proper faction now.

Honestly, I don't understand why they keep doing events like this.
They know a good portion of the votes are basicly just trolls who just want to see the "good" faction lose or otherwise vote for whatever they think would be funny. And now they'll have to somehow write themselves out of the hole they've dug themselves by adding yet another unstoppable villain for Guilleman to deal with.

At this point the empire is split in two, Abadon's balefleets rampage at will, the Silent king is easily stopping Guilleman's crusades, Ghaz-kull is supposed to be rampaging around somewhere but seems to have been forgotten by GWl. The empire was already getting crushed on every front, even before the Tyranids joined in.

Like, how is the empire not yet destroyed with literally every major opponent crushing them at every turn?
Couldn't they at least have Guilleman reach a stalemate on one of the fronts first before throwing in yet another front on which the empire is suffering crushing defeat after crushing defeat? Is the Lion going to bring along the super-primaris marines to even the odds again, cuz just adding the Lion does not enough to even begin evening the playin-field...

@Lord Agragax of Lunaxoatl thoughts?

In an army full of "superhero marines" what could change the tide of war? Perhaps... a "superman?" :p
