Blog Paint & Kitbashes (2023) with Suds

Welp, have made some progress on the blessed spawn of random bits, and I think we've made some good choices and slowly getting there. I changed the torso out and combined a Ripperdactyl torso with the back of a saurus knight to make a new body - and I think it works better than the orruk torso. I also once getting the first arm on added some shoulder armor. Still more to go, including some lore foe em, but so far I'm happy with it.

He is looking real good!

Fiddling with some pipe cleaner that i may end up wrapping in GS. Basic shape idea i have - although it appears the Scar Vet on Agg base size might be smaller than I was hopingView attachment 133628 View attachment 133629

That is one awesome idea. love the set up.
Looking forward to the next stages ;)

I did finish my first Saurus Warrior, minus the base, of the new Warriors from the box. I really love this scheme, the purples and violets just look great against the green underbelly I think. Slowly writing a back story for the new spawns of my Temple City.

The blade came out pretty well, hoping to improve on the next ones! I may darken the feathers too a bit20230525_193721.jpg 20230525_193706.jpg 20230525_193634.jpg

Did start the Coatl head though! Using leaves as feathers from some plastic plants View attachment 133833

Ohw wow! this a great look and looks like an easy build, might try it some time myself (I have the materials for this as well)

A little homebrew writing this morning before jumping into other things like work and school. Working on what Unique attributes my Temple Host has, their Goals, and descriptions of the different Temple Hosts which serve the Temple City and it's Slann.

My Seraphon are quite different than the "mainstream" Seraphon, in large part because they actually welcome outsiders into their Temple City. There are precautions of course, but how my Slann has interpreted the Great Plan calls for lore understanding of Warmbloods and to live among them. Temple Lord Ka'Rapixca has decreed that this is a new way to fight Chaos, a longer path than the old ways, but possibly with better resolutions. This plays a big part in their role in the Dawnbringer Crusades expansion into Ghyran, at least in my narrative20230527_093317.jpg 20230527_093146.jpg

Really good idea to use plant leaves! Also that new warrior looks great, I can't wait to build mine
Thank you! I have been practicing GS feathers/leaves - but my skill isn't there yet haha but looked at these and was like... "that might work..." haha.

I appreciate it!

4 years ago my journey into Warhammer miniatures began and I finished, or nearly finished this Saurus Oldblood. Even then I did a lot of experimenting with techniques, including making my own wash with Wild Rider Red. Still am very proud of how this came out, and is still a favorite of mineFB_IMG_1685369804552.jpg FB_IMG_1685369807599.jpg FB_IMG_1685369810854.jpg FB_IMG_1685369813807.jpg

Happy Sunday everyone! Wanted to share my custom Astrolith Bearer as I wait a bit to get some of the new models :)

Really happy with how it's come out. In its original build it was a little fragile lol so I strengthened/changed the pole and its now quite sturdy. I wanted to design an Astrolith machine which (like the original/new one from GW) captures that Tepok vibe, and I do believe Ive done that

Added armor from both Saurus (old) and from the new Slann (the Necklace), and gave a custom fist weapon, I think it looks really good! I am still debating something on the head, we'll see.

Thoughts?20230604_025122.jpg 20230604_025156.jpg 20230604_025304.jpg

4 years ago I began this hobby, and 4 years ago I couldn't afford a Stegadon. So, I decided that I'd make my own using left over bits, 3d printed bits, and an old Stegosaurus toy I've had since I was a very little kid. Designed in part off of the old Crested Stegadon.

Very pleased to have it finished and leave behind some painful memories that are associated with it.20230611_014228.jpg 20230611_014327.jpg

Wow that is a good looking stegadon! You did some nice work putting this together; nice conversion and paint job. Well done!
