It was never one of my major haunts back in the day, but I did hear about that particular forum blarg-fest.

I was there at its creation. I bore witness to the rants that eventually lead to the creation of the Hortennse moniker. The funniest thing was watching the nickname spread from one forum to another.

Are they talking about Cathay? Because they can't be talking about the Empire, with its fractious, backstabbing City States, diseased, malnourished civilian population, weak, inbred nobility that has secret orgies with the Beastmen, Knightly Orders that cry themselves to sleep at night wishing they could be as good as the Bretonnians' Knights, crude half-arsed attempts to mimic Dwarf gunpowder weapons, Wizards that are driven mad by the magic they dedicate themselves to studying and ramshackle shrines and tanks that break down or blow up whenever they see real action.

Now, Dwarven faith, gromril and gunpowder, that's something I can get behind...

THat could be true if the old world would move forward. The End Time crystalized that.
You can play 8th as long as you want, the Empire will never surpass Dwarfs, their timeline has expired.
