What are you doing today hobbywise?

why is he special?

Because he is a very good boy :P

Seriously now: I had a Knight of Minas Tirith with lance but without shield in my company that lost his horse in the last scenario. So I had to create a Warrior of Minas Tirith with spear but without shield.

Fun.

and thats exactly why i like narrative driven campaigns for skirmish gameplay. Mordheim comes to mind.

I really want to play some LOTR though.

It really is a fun gaming system.

Last night was game night again :D We played 2 scenarios: great night, the dice were very much against me though, my brother overwhelmed my company twice...
His heroes have become tanks right now

I was able to buy back the horse for my new model
And 2 warriors became a hero

Batreps soon ;)

Started another 3 pieces of terrain. Also, I ordered a copy of the 5e Players Handbook that should get here in a couple weeks. Since that's all anyone is playing around here, I might as well have a copy for myself.

Hmm, what have I been doing? Oh, right.

BIG STONKING TURTLE!!!

Clearly not done yet, but you can see where I'm going with it. Got to pick up some cocktail skewers to make railings and some more glue. The big V-thing in the front is going to be a ... catapult... yeah... totally isn't a big slingshot like a Doom Diver launcher... for launching rocks or pots of fire-leeches. I also plan on having one of the fire-throwers on each of the small side platforms for deck-sweeping.

Basically, this is a Seraphon warship! Ancient Snapadon moves fast in water, but can still move on land too, for a LAND-SHIP!!! Why? Because I can.

I don't have rules for my turtle warship thing, but I'm building it anyway because I can.

I laughed hard on this, because it made me remember Ian Malcom's quote:
"your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn't stop to think if they should"

...except in this case Malcolm is wrong.
Yes, you can and you should. :D

And just of interest:
Some old school Citadel models I found in an archived storage box.
Excuse painting quality. I did these back in the 80's-90's
Blood bowl ogres: BB ogre 1.jpg BB ogre 2.jpg BB ogre 3.jpg
Also some old trolls that I used many years ago playing dungeon bowl with some mates. They were used as random wandering monsters in the dungeon
