Blog NIGHTBRINGER's Painting Blog - 1000 point (not so) year end Chaos Dwarfs challenge (78.2%)

Thank you my friends. I've received such wonderful feedback on that project... but it is always nice to hear more!

It’s great work.

How could you ask me such a thing?!?!.... of course not! :p

:D

I'm the world's slowest and least productive painter

Not the slowest. You still finish models and I’ve met many hobbyist that have painted in total less than you. Plus your work is awesome, so don’t beat yourself up over it.

Always four there are, no more, no less... unless I break down an buy another one!

:D

Not one drop of paint has touched her. Three main reasons:
  • I've never settled on an army wide paint scheme for my Lizardmen, and I'd want the skinks to match the rest of the army
  • There are things I'd like to improve on Bronti
  • I'm the world's slowest and least productive painter
I find that kind of hard to believe. Hmm... I might have you topped there, sir. I probably have 2 "totally painted" lizards. I have about 20 total skinks with some paint on them, and 10-11 saurus with some paint. I started a standard GW blue scheme b/c I'm not sure what I want to do. But (to use some AoS references) the rest of my lizards must either hunt in the grey shadows of Ulgu or are covered in the grey ash of Aqshy. Lol.

Cleaned, assembled, gap-filled and based...

Now I have to clean off all the mold lines. That usually takes forever, if my previous unit is anything to go by.

One more tally for assembled Bull Centaur Renders. Takes my assembled total up above 40%!

Continued my work on my 10 Infernal Guard. Got rid of all the mold lines :rage:, and attached all the heads and arms. Need to do a bit of gap filling on some of the arm joints, and then attach the weapon hands. The shields won't be attached until after they are painted.

Also, I've fully assembled and based my first Hobgobin Khan. Custom cut acrylic cavalry base, cork and varthane varnish...

Assembled the next ten infernal guard (shield arms deliberately left off for sub assembly painting):

Also finished assembling and basing my 3 character models:

The guy on the left is my favourite, so he'll be my Sorcerer-Prophet general. The guy in the center (with the converted pointing hand) will serve as my Infernal Castellan. And finally, the rightmost model will be my backup low level wizard, Daemonsmith Sorcerer.

And lastly, I've mostly assembled my Deathshrieker Rocket. Still a few more levers to add and the crew (so I'm not marking it down as assembled just yet, but it is game ready)...

The plan is to face my wife's Wood Elves this weekend!!

I've made some good progress over the last little while in terms of assembling, cleaning up and basing my Chaos Dwarf models. Well that's all about to come to an end...

As gone over, I'm a recovering addict. The PS5 represents some SERIOUS high-grade cocaine for me. Sadly I have to stay away from it.

Try to keep finding time to do some painting though! Hashut is not so easily forgotten ;)
