What are you doing today hobbywise?

Been chipping away at an unofficial Lizardmen supplement for 4e WFRP lately. Outside of pure game mechanics however, I'm kind of at an impasse with how to proceed, seeing as it's not particularly great form to copy-paste entire lore pages out of the army books or the online wikis.

When I get a chance I'll upload what I have so far.
As promised, this is what I have so far.

So far I have painted my Slann's extra wounds. Here soon I'm going to my FLGS to get some paint, and then start on my bastilidon.

Primed my Blood Bowl lizardmen and played around with some Oyumaru again. Not successful this time but I learned something at least.

I've started painting my realm shaper engine.

I've also started regretting choosing the overgrown version, because man this is a pain. :p

Painting my Blood Bowl team. Base colors almost done, using GW Contrast paints.
Not sure what to think of them yet.

Visited the GW in Auckland, New Zealand yesterday, making that store the first one I've been to outside of North America. Didn't buy anything there, though I also did a brief supply run earlier in the day to get more black primer and varnish (went to Vagabond Games & Hobbies for that). If any of you guys were at either location, I was the one wearing a black Cult of Sotek t-shirt and red Canada hat.

Today, I'm visiting Hobbiton. As a side note I wouldn't be surprised if the gift shop sells Lord of the Rings tabletop minis.

Going to New Zealand is on my bucket list. So I'm jealous!

Well, no tabletop minis in the gift shop, but the complimentary beer on the tour made up for it. ;)

On another note, more work on my Van Saar gang.

Yep, sticking with the Iron Man theme. Glowing components will be handled using Nighthaunt Gloom after another round of varnish (likely during the next port visit).

Some progress on the Elven Knight

Man I'd like to paint horses that aren't undead one day, but I just don't see me starting a new army just for that.

I continued working on my casts and my Blood Bowl team yesterday, but spent most of my evening shooting my bow (gotta use the good weather and motivation for going outside).

Of my bow? It is just a regular modern longbow, not much to see there. I haven't shot my traditional longbow in months and now I lack the strength to do so...

Fun fact: I can shoot a bow, pick locks, have a pretty good dexterity and decent perception, but I lack strength...

...apparently I am a D&D rogue! :D

How is your stealth? :P

Are you aiming for the Olympics 2024?
I have shot a bow once or twice at a medieval theme park, liked it a lot. but practice is key.

Ha! Nice!

But YES! Pictures of your bow please.

Decent! I can avoid being seen if I wish.

Ok, I'll post some soon. :)

No, Olympic archery is not for me, and neither are high tech bows (which is funny because I usually like high tech, just not for that).
I shoot the traditional way, without a fixed distance or a set target elevation, without ring counting or aiming over a sight.

Basically more like a hunter or soldier in medieval times would do it.

My activities were slightly hobby-wise.

I visited Naturalis Biodiversity Center in Leiden, the Netherlands.
They have a permanent exhibition on Dinosaurs :)

I shared some pictures over here
