I said something like "I think we're headed the right direction?"
She said "Yes, this is the way".
I immediately responded, "This is the way."
She just looked at me, blankly. I just chuckled...

I have some interesting Star Wars TV series news updates for you all.

Firstly, Andor will likely be showing in early 2022:

The first series is believed to be 12 episodes long, more than the first series of The Mandalorian was, and though sadly K2 won’t be in the first series, Alan Tudyk is very confident he’ll appear later on, meaning Andor will be a multiple series effort like The Mandalorian. While it’s a bit of a shame we won’t be treated to K2’s one-liners right from the start, it does mean Cassian will have the stage all to himself for at least one series which will give them the chance to really develop his character more, which is always good. Also the writer who made some heavy rewrites to Rogue One ahead of its release, Tony Gilroy, will be taking the helm of this series, which is good because it’ll ensure consistency with Rogue One and hopefully will mean the series will be similarly gritty.

Secondly, a Boba Fett series is going to be shooting this summer and will be released this December:

Temuera Morrison will be taking up the role of Boba (as he allegedly has done in The Mandalorian), which is great for continuity with Episodes I-III, and will centre on Boba and his companion from The Mandalorian taking control of Jabba’s Palace. While I’m not looking forward to this one as much as Andor, it will be good if they can do the character justice and actually make him threatening and powerful for a change, because he does pretty much nothing in the OT and really needs to redeem himself to make him worthy of the moniker ‘Best Bounty Hunter in the Galaxy’.

Also, this isn’t a replacement for series 3 of The Mandalorian, the filming for which will be starting after filming for the Boba Fett series ends, hinting that it will be released not long afterwards.

Mind you, that this is not the same as "who are your top 4 favourite SW characters". I love characters like Darth Bane, Trawn and Darth Maul, but I would never consider them to be SW Mount Rushmore material.

In my opinion the SW Mount Rushmore would be comprised of (in no particular order):

• Darth Vader
• Luke Skywalker
• Yoda
• Han Solo

4 Anakins from different stages in his life.

Overlord DVD's youtube channel reported a rumor from an anonymous Disney employment. Overlord DVD pointed out that he cannot verify the authenticity of the rumor but it does neatly explain Kathleen Kennedy's actions to this point.

Kennedy's Original Master Plan

Step One: Kathleen Kennedy assumed the Disney sequel trilogy would be commercially and critically successful because, you know Star Wars is a license to print money. She underestimated how easy it is to be a creative.

Step Two: Bask in the credit for a successful franchise, use this leverage to take over Indiana Jones and create another commercial and critical success.

Step Three: Slowly let slip in interviews that Kathleen Kennedy was the true brains behind Star Wars and Indiana Jones as evidence by how successfully she handled the franchises. George Lucas took all the credit because he is/was an evil misogynist.


Now she has to to damage control. She is saying that her Star Wars projects did subpar because manbaby misogynists cannot handle strong female characters.

The Mandalorian ruined her ability to damage control. Cara Dune proves that most male fans do not have a problem with strong female characters provided they are well-written. The other problem is that the most successful part of Star Wars is the part of Star Wars she had the least creative control over. Finally, the hypocrisy of the cancel culture mobs shows that even if Kathleen Kennedy is sincere about her SJW dogma, her followers do not have the moral high ground in this instance.


Honestly I don't think Kennedy can crawl her way out of this one. Then again I'm not her. I don't think she cares about money. She is about sixty right and already a millionaire. She could retire in luxury if she chose I think she is concerned with legacy. I see three options for her.

1-She is really delusional and she is continue her original plan to usurp the credit for George Lucas previous movies. This is actually the best case scenario for Star Wars fans because this cannot possibly succeed and eventually Filloni or someone like will take over Lucas Film.

2-"If I can't have it, no one can!" She will move from accidentally burning Star Wars to intentionally burning Star Wars down. I do not think the franchise can recover from this.

3-Kennedy accepts that she cannot win the Star Wars battle and prepares a golden parachute. In this case the golden parachute would probably be a spin off division of Disney that she has full control of but Kennedy Inc. gets insulated from the rest of Disney.


Or I could be way off base with my guesses. The rumor makes a lot of sense. Otherwise the only rational explanation is Kennedy wanted Star Wars to fail.
