Who did the music for the Mandalorian? That's pretty good too. Not as good as the various movies, but very good for a TV show.

Some put this on the thread a couple years, I don't mind the repeat.

It gives me the opportunity to gush about my all time favorite movie.

A bad writer neglects to research what he or she writes about. A mediocre writer will constantly put in tidbits to show off his knowledge but it is only annoying.

But in Hot Fuzz all the tidbits about official vocab guidelines and the like enhance Sergeant Angel's character showing that he is a hyper professional anal retentive blowhard.

Also, most of his explanations about vocab guidelines are foreshadowing something. "Accident implies there is no one to blame." "Force is too aggressive." The movie doesn't have a single wasted line in it that I could find.

I just wish I could follow up with a new Star Wars Hot Fuzz meme of my own but I haven't thought of anything. You'd think I'd be able to do something with "The Greater Good" and either the Jedi Council or one of Palpatine's monologues.

Or something involving Tau Empire for the Warhammer meme thread :p

I don't know much about the Tau except they are focused on ranged combat to the detriment of close combat.

I will that the Neighborhood Watch Association are generally highly inaccurate at range combat and are (slightly) more effective when charging.

Very un-Tau.

Basically yes. Disney does not have near enough material to convince me to keep subscribing month after month. If they stopped censoring stuff, and put EVERYTHING in their so-called vault on the Disney+ and every show and movie that Fox created too I might stay subscribed.

Even then that might upgrade them to 4-6 months of the year instead of the 2 months they got in 2020 and the 1 month I plan to give them in 2021.

This is more about the direction Star Trek is currently taking, so it's pretty political, but imo interesting nonetheless.

Dave Filoni should be given complete control over the entire Star Wars universe.

Does Dave Filoni have someone he trusts who can say "That's a stupid idea, do something else."

Every creative I like has made a turd at least once. Most creatives get gradually worse the more complete control they have.

Kind of like George Lucas having Maria Lucas during the original trilogy.
