meh not sure what to think of this. In all honesty the strongest reaction I'm having is "shame since it won't be in AoS".

I really wish they'd give an explenation as to what exactly the old world is going to be so I can figure out if it's something I can maintain next to AoS or is something I should just ignore for the most part.

Kislev is back

This was fantastic news for the most part, as it makes you wonder if GW are going to bring back other squatted or nonexistent factions (like Chaos Dwarfs, Araby, Kingdoms of Ind and Albion), but there is one snag:

Here are some awesome pieces of concept art for the Ice Guard, courtesy of Forge World’s Mark Bedford.

Given that a Forge World designer has designed the upcoming Kislev miniatures, it almost certainly means that most of, if not all, the new stuff is going to be made by bloody Forge World with their ridiculous prices and fancy-pants resin that forces you to risk sticking your fingers together just to make up a few models.

Meh... never been that interested in them. Chaos Dwarfs better be getting a full faction if GW has time to expand upon Kislev.

I agree with you that Kislev is certainly not as interesting as the non-human factions (or even other human factions such as Albion and Araby), but the fact that GW have even considered bringing them back at all means it will be more likely that they’re going to bring back other factions squatted before the later editions and even introduce previously non-existent ones, so Chaos Dwarfs returning looks a lot more likely now.

I'm not overly concerned.

Honestly I think that relegating it to Forge World is a bad move, because the price will put off a lot of potential new players who missed out on accumulating plastic armies during previous editions, plus customisability is lost in Forge World kits because they have very few spare bitz, but we’ll see how it goes. I don't disagree with you. I'm not concerned because I'm perfectly satisfied with 8th. It TOW is underwhelming, I'll just stick with what I have.
