Update on my spawning pool/Troglodon/oracle base! Decided to line the edges of the pool with gold and made the rest a little more rocky looking/feel with what Im attempting to make ruined marble broken path lol

I like the troglodon and the base, but the Styrofoam for the thunderlizard's back looks too clunky to me , maybe some smaller Styrofoam like some foam board instead? Your howdah bases are so beautiful, they need to have some prettier looking supports to hold them up!

Yeah, the howdah is being more tricky than I anticipated. Between the Styrofoam and just the natiral curve of the Brachio's back its a bit if a challenge.

I agree, it is too thick at the moment, Ill definetly be cutting it down a tad with my razorblade, however that probably wont be visible as Ill be making a bala wood frame...but yes, those do lool so chucky on her lol foam board may be the way to go...hmmmm

I may honestly have to post pone the project til Im better (still dealing with pain +morphine which caused me to lose my job due to hospital stays, budget is tiiiiight) as Im forced atm to just use what I have available to me.

WIP on Tlanextic's headdress! The front part will be standing up straight with feathers on it I feel like I need to cut a few more though...anyway, Since I was giving her some neck armor (have more carno bits coming soon!) Figured she needed a headdress, just wasnt sure how, this is my current solution

The Troglodon isn't attached yet but the base is pretty much done! I am so excited to see this project in its final stages, my original Troglodon definitely deserved a new and better base. Now to paint the Oracle and find two names for them

This and my other base I've made take place in Ghyran and are an active part of telling my narrative that I am currently writing for my army (other half of my army will be from Ghur). Spawning pools within my Temple City of Texcoco produce Seraphon that are immune to Nurgle's and Clan Pestielence's concoctions making them integral to retaking Ghyran. The Temple City is located on the Heaving Mountains on the cut off Isle of Invidia, its Twin Temple City of Xiuhcoatl is located in Ghur, they're connected by two realm gates

Description:

A ancient marble path leads to a spawning pool which is being patrolled by a Troglodon and its Oracle, pestilence and magic hangs in the air...

WIP working on a portal for my Astrolith Banner, first time attempting this! I may make a new one after this just to improve the design a little, but I think its coming out pretty well for a first time. Can't decide if the shade made it too dark though, the area around it will be gold or marble which may help lighten it up some.

Having a portal means no Carno head unless I add magical effects after finishing the banner, its just not a big enough space for both really.

Also playing around with magic effect for my Star Priest!

I REALLY like the use of that stuff for a "magic bolt" coming out the skinks hand.

But I am not sure I am feeling the swirling-mass of magic energy coming from the standard itself, is it supposed to be a portal opening? Maybe make it more swirly or something, so it looks like a portal opening?

These are fantastic! Question is...how? Do you start from the center? I was thinking of having a saurus coming through. The space I'm working with is pretty small, 1" x 1.5"

I could base the plastic carno head in petroleum oil or something (any other suggestions?) And form a resin mold or hot glue mold?

@Warden here is an update btw! I forgot to post them, I love the bolt coming from Itzli's hand and the snakes on his staff...also love the portal, but again....the circular motion instead of a chaotic magical energy portal looks super nice, the background (discs) will either be marble or a dark reapers blue stone type of color

Update on the Thunderlizard Working out placements of the platforms and finally made a proper central base to balance the main platform on. I also just wanted to see how the Astrolith Banner would look on it. Still so much to do and decide on

How I imagine the headdress for the Thunderlizard to look with reins for the Star Priest commanding it above. Headdress still needs feathers attached. The "spear tip" Im going to make into a celestial crystal of blue/cold colors

Yeah wanted to give him a unique staff (not spear ) so I chopped the oldblood spear and kroq-gors spear and boom

Def makes sense! Love how he sits on her head too

You're correct, I thought to little of the Priest

I did take another look at the priest. The hand fits rather well in size, but the wrist looks a bit odd.
Don't know if it is an easy fix (and if it bothers you anything )

It honestly doesn't bother me but I was thinking of filling it with some liquid green stuff since the gap is small enough.

WIP Ghur Inspired Star Priest with a Galaxy Crystal Staff!

Im still needing to paint stars onto the crystal with possibly Skink Blue and Thousand Suns Blue on the circles of the runes. I then want to color the orbs in the gold area with wild rider red and yellow to mimic suns.

The Ghur Star Priest always wears war paint to further his aggressive magical onslaught, often magical symbols themselves

Colors are for the staff:

Screamer Pink > Xerus Purple > Kantor Blue > Dark Reaper shaded by Carroburg Crimson with the white being fed directly Volupus Pink
