I dedicated myself to the greater good. No thicc chicc can change my mind
But memes are Chaos incarnate. They are not a greater good as they make fun of and demean people and things.

You're already marked by chaos. It marks us all!

Error brain destroyed

NIGHTBRINGER: "You must join Chaos. Search your feelings, you know it to be true."

Lizerd: "Never! I am a devote follower of the Greater Good. I cannot be tempted by the dark gods"

NIGHTBRINGER: "The Chaos gods offer you women and pleasures beyond your wildest imagination"

Lizerd: "I resist the treacherous temptations offered by your gods. I am a spirit of the light. The greater good shall prevail!"

NIGHTBRINGER: "We have all the memes"

Lizerd: "Ahhhh... crap. I'm in!!"

NIGHTBRINGER: "Excellent. You shall become a mighty champion of our kind"

If @Lizerd's the Greater Good on the light side of the spectrum, and @NIGHTBRINGER's Chaos on the dark side of the spectrum, where would I fit in as the Tyranid Hive Mind?

:android: ;)

(Probably Neutral)
Moot point. @Lizerd has been corrupted by memes, the Greater Good has fallen to the dark side.

Wouldn't Tyranids be "Neutral Evil"? Tomb Kings would be a better example of a pure neutral.

Tyranids are like animals, aren't they? They just want to eat and breed.
That would be neutral.

Necrons on the other hand are - AFAIK - driven by hate and such things. That would be evil.

But collectively they still have a net evil effect on the universe as they would wipe everything out. Hence "Neutral Evil". Tomb Kings feel like more a pure neutral to me, because if you leave them alone they leave you alone.

Don't tomb kings also want to reconquer their lost lands and then some so they can rule over everything given the chance?

Lost lands yes, but they don't go and conquer other people's lands. They don't have the same expansive qualities of many of the other races/armies. They may take back there lands, but that is it, while Tyranids would wipe the universe of life.

Of course, this is Warhammer, nothing is ever truly neutral. Even the "good" or "neutral" armies have an evil tint to them.

Wait, maybe I got you wrong. I thought you were referring to D&D alignment system. Because the outcome doesn't matter much there, it is mostly based on intentions.
The exact same thing can be the result of 'good' or 'evil' thoughts and deeds.

Tyranid's intention is to eat everything. Which makes em "evil" they'd be neutral if they were normal creatures that stuck to a certain territory and existed in (relative) equilibrium with their surroundings. But since they're activly trying to upset the equilibrium, and go out of their way to find new things to eat they're not neutral.

K, thought several of them also wanted to expand beyond the lost land. I guess as a faction they're relativly neutral with individuals falling either in the neutral or evil catagory (and maybe one or two in "good") depending on how they deal with their neighbours and whatnot.
