The army of Xlanzec is back, if it ever left, maybe it was just on vacation... anyway I have made some adjustments to my color scheme and begun work on a "new" army, as I was a bot bored by pretty much just using the blue Lizardmen like GW, and I wanted my army to have a more cohesive look. I decided that could not go on any longer and so made my very own color scheme, which fluff-wise could be something like the Slann of Xlanzec getting high on some Itxi grubs or just decided that the Lizardmen of this city needed a new color and changed the spawning pools a bit, or maybe the spawning pools just adapts the Lizardmen to their surroundings - all part of the great plan.

Now for some pictures, which is what everyone really wants to see in these painting blogs I guess, though first (yeah yeah, I know I'm rambling on) I made my first attempt at a 'light box' (I think that is the term), which hopefully have improved the image quality, in terms of better representing the models and their actual colors:

And then the last was an experiment for a special color scheme:

Such beauties!

loving the desert bases

Thanks :) It took a lot of different ideas before I settled on that.

famed Woogity Kroxigors!

Such beauties!

The models are indeed very nice, much better than the GW ones. GW should buy the model design off of Woogity so everyone can get them. Unless he has begun selling them again of course, I'm not quite up to date regarding that.

Welcome back you have been missed

Thank you. I have been away for some time I guess, but if all goes well I will actually get some work done on my remaining models and make some more drawings (or scribble some lines on paper I should say); And I guess most important of all: Actually get to play a bit, I just don't know which format my gaming group are going with, but either way I'm keeping my models on square bases, since I can then play all formats (unless there have been made some changes I am unaware of).

What do you guys think of the new color-scheme?

You did a very nice job on them!

As far as I know, Woogity is not selling them. Last I heard he was working over at CA on the Total War: Warhammer series.

Gods I’d love that job. Working on designing a Warhammer computer game all day, except when you’re not sure on a particular mechanic so you have a game of regular Warhammer Fantasy to find out how it works... :angelic:

:wideyed: That's awesome, Guess that is why I like some of the game's models so much. I like our carnosaur model very much, but the one in the game I'm drooling over.

I wish he would make more models though, but I do like him working on Total War: Warhammer.
Guess we need another skilled person to make custom Lizardmen models though.

I love that colour scheme. And damn so jealous of those rare Kroxigor sculpts. Someone really should give a recaster a copy of them so they can start mass producing them for the rest of us!

I was very lucky to get them, along with two of his cold one riders. Exquisite models to be sure.

I love that colour scheme.

It's not too bright or samey/bland? That's the critique I got from one from my playgroup anyway.

Nah I think black white and gold is a very elite premium scheme. It speaks of like uhh oppulence and luxury

Next part of the Army has spawned.

I've made a new and bigger light box, I cannot seem to get the lighting quite right though.
