I thought Kes was OK in my view, although Neelix and the Doctor still stole the show. Chakotay, yes I agree with you about the writers making Janeway do everything but I hold that against Janeway for seemingly knowing how to do everything when in actual fact she would just be commanding various crewmen to do stuff, rather than holding it against Chakotay for doing nothing. Jake, meanwhile, I feel was much better than Wesley - certainly later on when he decides to veer away from Starfleet and be a writer, as it took him away from being the next Wesley. Evidently the writers realised the mistake they had made with Weasley... ;)

(And yes, I deliberately put that ‘a’ between the first ‘e’ and the ‘s’)

I hate omnipotent characters so Q is waaaaay down in the list for me.
The actor is great and I like the interactions between Picard and Q but that's it. Most Q episodes get skipped when I watch Star Trek.
The one with the archaeologist is OK though.
