@NIGHTBRINGER I was at the local sci-fi/fantasy convention there is a lil old lady there who makes sculpture puzzle displays they are A+ gonna buy one for the boyfriend soon, actually I have a nice picture of that skaven loving weirdo somewhere

It took me...roughly 40 hours on the chain mail? I think a lil more since I had to work on it at odd hours

But note: it protects against cutting and chopping but can be very well thrusted through... so be aware of the pointy end...

That’s when you want riveted chainmaille and smaller rings riveted is good against arrows but it vastly more time consuming to make

I see you're not a novice when it comes to the art of chainmail!

I have a friend who does chainmail. And scale mail. She made a dragon themed belly dancing outfit including a scale mail bra

Chainmail vs. Plate and Scale and so on is a very interesting topic since all if them have their advantages and disadvantages.
I watched a few videos on that topic lately (I am a bit interested in HEMA, and there are some nice Youtubers on that topic such as Skallagrim, Metatron and Scholagladiatoria)
and it is amazing how people in former times were aware and tried to work around those problems by tweaking and combining them.
