Blog NIGHTBRINGER's Painting Blog - 1000 point (not so) year end Chaos Dwarfs challenge (78.2%)

Yeah. And always remember: laboriously feeds the squirrel... and: no master has just fallen from the sky, yet... (well, maybe some Jedi master did... but not on this planet...;):p)

Right attitude
I think so! Plus the conversion itself isn't too bad. The painting is horrible. With proper painting, I think the model would look pretty good. Plus I still like the blades I made for the sides/back of the model. :)

At least I see that my conversion skills have improved between this work and my Bronti conversion.

Do your telling yourself you should strip the model and repaint.

I have literally a BILLION unpainted models to work on before I even consider repainting existing models. I would say that 90-95% of my collection is unpainted.

This is sad to hear, my heart is heavy, I’ve got around 50 to paint then my 3 armies are all painted.

Then it’s terrain time

Trust me, you have no idea. I have 3 massive armies with only a handful of models painted for each. Most of my stuff is either assembled & unprimed, unassembled or new in box!

Send them over I’ll sort em

Hahaha. It doesn't bother me as much as it would you. I'd like them to be painted, but I'm content either way.

If I was a great painter it would be different. However, I don't see much difference between my mediocre painting and unpainted.

Stop saying you essentially can't paint and try. Everyone gets better with practice

This is true. I just have an overactive fear of failure. It is my one greatest personality flaw (among what is probably quite a number of personality flaws :p)
How can you be afraid of failure?

No one fails.

Everyone tries. Thru either succeed or learn about how they did not succeed and use that knowledge to try again.

There are two nulls everyone talks about in this world. Failure and perfection. They don't exist.

Looking at your kroxi I think you should do it!
You could just get some cheap minis like reaper bones to paint (using new techniques for example) and increase your confidence...

... and if they come out crappy say it's cause of the quality of the casting, like I do...;)
