8th Ed. Total War: Warhammer 2 Lizardmen!

Yeah it ain't that expensive to build a decent PC these days, see if you can't find a trustworthy elektronik retailer, it should get it a fair bit cheaper.
I have a friend who puts together custom gaming PCs. He could easily set up a system for me. He approximated around $300 for a system that could handle the game on lower settings.

However: computer + games + dlc = :greedy::greedy::greedy:

I'm a Slann... I'm patient. It will cost only a fraction of that in a couple of years time.

Or Miss playing lizardmen.....I'd shell out the gold plaques

My laptop still has some life left in it. I'll probably wait until the final/full edition of the game is released. By then I'll be able to get an even better PC and save some big :greedy::greedy: off the game.

Probally the wisest choice.

As it stands now, buying a $300-500 gaming PC plus the cost of the games plus the cost of the dlcs is a bit too much of an investment for a game that I don't even know if I will enjoy (it looks awesome, but I've never played a total war game before). I'm pretty much a console (PS4) gamer myself. If it was ever released on console I would get it for sure... I wonder if the PS4 pro would be up for the task?

Maybe you could try some of the older titles, the graphics aren't top notch, but still fun.

Not miss... only delay. They will still be here in a few years time. Plus any potential bugs will be sorted out by then too!

The gold plaques have to be saved for other hobbies too!

When it comes too Total War, that is a REALLY good idea. Ever since Rome 2, Creative Assembly have had their reputation stained because the launch of that game was so freaking bad.

That sucks. How buggy was the first installment of Total War: Warhammer?

It wasen't actually that buggy, a little rough around the edges somtimes but nothing game breaking. So i think they learned their leason about releaseing unfinished games.

I recall that ever since their Rome II problematic, they have attempted to up their final product. Warhammer was one of such.
To add to this every DLC has been consistently done better and better. Their beastmen DLC, the first one they did, was lacking some units, which is a same for any beastmen lovers out there, but that really hasen't been the case for either Wood Elves, and especially not for Britonia (FREE DLC, by the way), which both has gotten quite the positive reception.

I generally believe that the second game well be even better polished than the first, with a unique campaign and races, alongside the famous MEGA campaign of the entire Warhammer world (Not at release, but will come soon after ;) ).... :D

Not the entire world, just the combined maps for part 1-2

Yeah of course :D However eventually! (Obviously not included Cathay, Nippon and Ind, who never really had a proper army book)
I wasn't counting those. I was more concerned with the dark lands, mountains of mourn, nagashizzar and chaos wastes expansion

I reckon they'll probably go as far east as Ogre Kingdom, but no further than that. Chinese Fantasy Race could be Cool, but they never did have an army book, to my knowledge, so it's far fetched at least. The Dark lands and everything among those Mideastern parts of the world, will very likely make up the third game. Not sure how much Chaos Waste they'll really include, is it even necessary? Daemons don't need a home town :P

I heard really good things about the first Total War/hammer game, now the sequel (continuation?) is going to have Lizardmen? I might have to pick this up now!

Correct, and you will be able to have a campaign on a combined maps if you own both games

I believe the Ind, nipon, & Cathay forces predate the army book system. (india, Japan & china)
back to the first couple editions where everything was in one book and
possibly some white dwarf articles.

There where actual characteristics for Ind, Cathay and Nippon models? :P

I wonder if the Tomb Kings will appear as DLC for the second game or a a main race in the third game.

Probably once all 3 games have been released.

I'm pretty certain they will be dlc, the badlands are in game 1 and game 2 will have the Southlands. So what will be in the middle?

Shortly after game 2's release, it can be combined with game 1 too create a super campaign.
