Speaking as someone who handles wild snakes at times, that lady's snake stick and general posture of readiness seem a little inadequate.

On further analysis, she is probably out of range of the first strike by about 40 centimetres.
 
So why are you handling these snakes?

If you trespass on mah property and threaten mah chickens, I'll handle you too, boy.

And sometimes for fun. There was a 3 metre one (biggest I've ever caught) that I rescued while it was crossing the road. I drove the rest of the way home with it coiled around one hand in a basketball sized blob so I could show Son of Bob and Son of Neighbour of Bob. I've got a bad photo of that one somewhere, I'll see if I can Photoshop it better.

I do have some snake rules - I don't play with venomous ones, and I only drive with them when they aren't wrapped around my neck.
