AoS What to buy next for my seraphon army? Newbie needs help.

    Hey Guys

    I need suggestions for what to get next.

    What i already got:

    1 scar vet on carno, 1 slan, 2 oldblood on foot, 2 Salamander,1 Skink starpriest, scar vet on coldone,
    12 Saurus warriors, 14 Temple guard, 15 saurus knights

    Im looking for an generaly rounded army, i Really like the idea of a cavalry Based army (if viable).
    If not i.ll adapt although i have a slight dislike for skinks.

    You could definitely make some killer cavalry based armies. I would go with the starter set, to get more cav, an oldblood on Carno and then you could build a bloodclaw based or a firelance, or in big enough games both. If you are tired of building and painting saurus I would go with Bastilidon or Stegadon. Get some big and stompy shooting going.

    how many saurus knights would be adequate in a 1500pts game?

    Yeah, that's a good looking list. 2 units of 5 knights amd 1 unit if 10 I assume or 4 units of 5?

    Ok, a couple of observations.

    Knights works better with lances: you want to use the Blazing Lances ability. You could try to field 2 units of 5 and one main unit of 10, near the ScarVet.

    Salamanders as separate units can work, but to spend 40 points to buff a single salamander it's decisely an excessive price, and if you do it twice is not good. Or you use 2 sallies that go by themselves, or you pick a unit of 2 sallies with 3 handlers.

    You're right, I missed the weapon there, you definitely want the lances. And pulling that second unit of handlers leaves you with 640 points. you could put in another Oldblood on Carnosaur, Skink starpriest a skink priest and another 5 riders. 2 units of 10 and a unit of 5. Or you could do A starpriest 2 units of chameleons, a unit of rippers a shadowstrike starhost and leave that 40 points of handlers in there to run up as an interception.
