I went the third route back in the day and made Pirates to run as generic Dogs of War units for 6th ed WFB. GW needs to make some pirate minifigures for TOW or AoS other than that one Underworlds warband with the Ogor captain...

Pirates would be great! The vampire counts for Sartosa(sp) were a cool idea that sadly only got a few models. I think that was during the Lustria campaign?
