So I read this book detailing the Amazons as a faction, with them having a love/hate relationship with the Lizardmen. Was that canon? Or a extra fanmade faction thrown into the mix?

And if it's canon, what is their current relationship (before end times) with the Lizardmen?

They where an allied faction back in 5th edition, and they have a small selection of miniatures.
I don't recall if they ever got an army book, or if they only had white dwarf rules.

I vaguely remember blood bowl. What was that about? :)

So in 5th edition they were allies of the Lizardmen? Sounds interesting :) They also seemed to reproduce with some ancient technological/magical means so they didn't require men?

it was one of GW's other games.
they mashed together American football, rugby, and grid based Warhammer fantasy battle into one game.

I think they stole children from the nearby Nord settlement,
    likely where they originated from.

I believe they are living at some old Lizardmen sites,
they are tolerated as long as they leave the relics there and drive others away.

Really? Odd, I looked into the booklet for the Amazons, and they mentioned something about becoming warriors at age 18, and at age 25 if they proved themselves they would be artificially impregnated, and care for the child for 5 years, after which the warrior caste took it in. After which she could continue to be a warrior, or be a farmer?

These models are from a Mordheim warband. I have the rule books somewhere, perhaps something is in there.
