leader scar vet on carnosaur Skink star priest Scar vet on cold one Battleline 5x Saurus knights 5x Saurus knights 5x Saurus knights 10x Saurus warriors Behemoth Troglodon Bastiladon Battalion firelance star host Points 1480/1500
Haven't played it yet but wanted the advice of more battle hardened generals. Is there any specific tips or maneuvers that I should be aware of with this?
Run your knights and scar-vets in two groups. You get bonuses to charge, so 2 units of knights stay together, one charges in, then next turn retreat, and the second one charges in. Same with the other group, but knights charge in, then the two scar-vets charge next together. Blast into combat with your bastiladon, and use it to block off charges from hordes. Buff your guys with your starpriest. Your warriors just need to hold objectives. Don't leave anyone else static. Hit and move. You might be better off pulling the warriors in favour of chameleons, just to assassinate heroes.
Seems pretty killy. Should work well although I agree with Bowser and think you should probably swap the warriors for chameleons to get rid of totems, wizards, and heroes
I can't see a big use for the warriors or Trog if I'm honest Chamo skinks are amazing and should be in every Seraphon list, I've only played once and they were the star of the show. I would swap them out something like this, Leaders Saurus Scar-Veteran on Carnosaur (260) Skink Starpriest (100) Battleline 5 x Saurus Knights (120) 5 x Saurus Knights (120) 5 x Saurus Knights (120) 10 x Skinks (80) 10 x Skinks (80) Units 5 x Chameleon Skinks (120) 5 x Chameleon Skinks (120) Behemoths Bastiladon (300) Battalions Firelance Starhost (60) Total: 1480/1500
If I'm being honest the main reason I'm playing the Troglodon is because I think the model looks really cool. I've heard that chameleon skinks are amazing but haven't been able to find any for cheap. I did convert one of the extra Saurus Warriors into a Astrolith bearer if that would be good in this list?
If you like it play it nothing wrong with that it is a super cool model, Astrolith bearer is a good unit but not for a knight list I would have him to buff warriors or guards
I would probably convert my chameleons from regular skinks if I were you. It's a fairly simple conversion that I'm confident anyone could do without too much hassle. And the astrolith bearer is a great hero choice but not so much in a firelance list. He doesn't really move fast enough and will probably end up being left behind by himself
