Have borrowed a mates thunderquake to practice with but after the recent faq love the Draco tail shenanigans you can now pull

Weds I'm at my club and gonna try this. .

    Allegiance: Seraphon
    Slann Starmaster (260)
    - General
    - Trait: Vast Intellect
    - Artefact: Incandescent Rectrices

    Saurus Scar-Veteran on Carnosaur (240)
    - War Spear
    - Artefact: Coronal Shield

    Skink Priest (80)
    - Priestly Trappings
    - Artefact: Light of Dracothion

    10 x Saurus Knights (200)
    - Lances
    5 x Saurus Knights (100)
    - Lances
    5 x Saurus Knights (100)
    - Lances
    1 x Razordons (40)
    Bastiladon Snakes (280)
    Bastiladon Snakes (280)
    Stegadon (240)
    Dracothion's Tail (60)
    Firelance Starhost (110)

    Total: 1990 / 2000
    Allies: 0 / 400
    Wounds: 92

Plan is deepstrike Carno scar vet, basti, steg, 10 knights and priest.
Tp other basti after curse of fating him.

Alpha move 1 basti forward d6 and hope priest goes off with reroll charges, saves etc. Hopefully slann will give all plus 1 to charge and try and jam all the monsters in but focusing on the snake bastis.

With both of them going off turn 1 should make for a funny list..

What other Draco tail combos we working on chaps?

40 saurus and a saurus oldblood moving them forward 3" is another decent trick

With the restriction to only Saurus units being gone I.... man there is so much that we could try...
I will post a few lists soon I think.

Wait.. can we do that now ? Like don't we have to summon just 1 of the " any seraphon Units" per turn ?

I did read the FAQ and didn't realise ?

Edit : This is not a troll question, if someone knows please let me know !

Besides still wanting to know if we can indeed summon ALL “any other Seraphon units..” at 1 turn I have to say I like the idea of this list a lot. It will only have 2 terrible match ups :

Nurgle with not many number of units around for snakes - usually few and big - and Death. The new Dearh army will be able to come out from many places and thus their units won’t be as close to each other as they used to be. And they also have that nasty mw save in their whole army almost ! And maybe fyreslayers

All others should have a problem against this !

I like this list a lot! It seems very similar to the kroaknado list but with less of the power frontloaded on a single model. Been meaning to pick up most of these models if I don't already have them, i'd love to try this out and compare how other people do. If you decide to test out the list let us know what you think!

Solid result . 1 Basti made it on 1st turn thanks to the stegs alpha ability and hemmed in some Dryads and Hunters with Sythes. Plus the Scar vet managed to charge alongside with him and his Bloodroar took out 2 Hunters after they'
    Lost 1 from Basti's snakes/attacks

Was out maneuvered quiet a bit though, but you'd expect that playing slyvanteth.

When both bastis made it into combat it was big fun

I'l be using it again for sure

Guys skink Alpha steg ability works on basti too? It says " skinks" unit, not "skink". Is it an errata?

    Hi guys!
I was thinkng about this, with the Dracothion tail, what do you think?

    Allegiance: Seraphon
Leaders Slann Starmaster (260)- General- Trait: Vast Intellect - Artefact: Incandescent Rectrices
Saurus Scar-Veteran on Cold One (100)- Artefact: Blade of Realities
Skink Priest (80)- Priestly Trappings- Artefact: Prism of Amyntok Battleline
    5 x Saurus Knights (100)- Lances
    5 x Saurus Knights (100)- Lances
    5 x Saurus Knights (100)- Lances
    40 x Saurus Warriors (360)- Spears
    10 x Skinks (60)- Boltspitters & Moonstone Clubs
    40 x Skinks (200- Boltspitters & Moonstone Clubs
    Units
    6 x Ripperdactyl Riders (280)
    Battalions Dracothion's Tail (60)
    Firelance Starhost (110)
    Shadowstrike Starhost (170)
    Total: 1980 / 2000 Allies: 0 / 400 Wounds: 156

The idea is, depending of the oponent deployement, trying to put the rippers and 40 Saurus in combat turn 1. (Easy for the rippers, but the Saurus need the help of the +1 and curse of fate of the slann)

Trying to keep the ennemy busy with these units and control the objectives with my other units et score as many points as possible to win.

I wanted to put a Sunclaw Starhost at the beginning. But cannot manage to put 2 units of 40 Saurus as we need an extra Saurus oldblood as general to use his command ability to gain 3" and make their charge easier.

Sounds like a solid idea on first glance.
I don't have experience with Dracothion's Tail though.
