Can someone put together the cheesiest of all all armies? Like exploiting every badly worded rule to get really powerful but in a dickish way? I'm trying to prove to another player that every army can fight dirty if they want but most people don't play that competitively. Oh can someone also explain how to play it? It's been a while since I've played Seraphon
Death / Vampire Counts. I've just noticed that the wording of Wail of the Damned and The Reliquary on the Mortis Engine is very weird. For both of these abilities, it says they activate "in the hero phase." All other Death abilities that happen in the hero phase specifically say "in YOUR hero phase." So, the Wail of the Damned happens in every hero phase, including the one of the opponent.
To the above point, our bastiladon with ark of sotek does the same. It states "at the start of each combat phase" and doesn't specify state only YOUR combat phase. So if there are maximum units around that none of the snakes miss their mark will do 24 mortal wounds in each battle round.
That's correct. Just like with the Thunderquake Starhost, where you can choose between Savage and Swift in each combat phase (which includes the ones in you opponent's turns).
Oh an just for info: Some of the techniques mentioned in the linked thread will not work anymore, the thread is older than the GHB which significantly changed the way our army works.
