AoS Adepticon predictions

    I think Sallies are generally better than razordons. I forgot to summon him one or two games but he generally just helped zone out the opponent or hold an objective. I like having something rend -2 in the army too to help cover all my bases.

    I came up with a somewhat similar list with kroak + shadow but in yet to try it out. Similar idea with saturating opponent with threats.

    did you use 9 rippers in 1 unit?, or 3 separate units?
    it looks like an too big unit to handle, but i could be wrong?

    He actually used all 9 of them in one unit. And yes that makes them difficult to handle but they hit REALLY hard that way.

    they're also disturbingly easy to attack that way. Hell, 6 of em are already increadibly easy to surround with ultiple units and just beat into the dust quickly. Plus,unless your target is absolutly massive it's not like you're going to get all 9 of em in attack range. And since they tend to be used for assasination, and assasination tends to focus on heroes who are generally relatvily small that's bound to be an issue sooner or later..

    If I remember his battle reports correctly he mostly used them to attack really big stuff, but you are still right that positioning can be a major problem.
    About their survivability...well... In my view Rippers are a kamikaze unit anway. If they don't serve their purpose in their first activation they are toast.

    o yeah, don't expect them to last long. But making the unit large enough to be immeadiatly counterattacked by several heroes and normal units might be pushing it a bit. It does have a use as a distraction i suppose. Dump 9 of em on the enemy turn 1, force him to either attack them and not move to the objective or be constantly attacked in the back by a swarm of the buggers. Since it's 9 he'l actually have to dedicate a decent amout of force to it'.

    I think that's exactly what worked well for Adam. Everyone sees the Rippers and thinks HOLY CRAP! KILL THEM!! KIIIIIIILL THEEEEM!!!! and dedicates far too much of their forces to that one goal. Meanwhile the rest of your army is free to do whatever they want.
