Alright, so I've been going up against a buddy who plays Orkz, and I've found with my current lists that...well I'm not strong enough. I can win easily by points due to my mobility (and a Dread Saurian to keep him distracted), but I thought I'd try a more....up close approach.

    So here we go

    Allegiance: Seraphon

    LEADERS
    Saurus Sunblood (120)
    - Artefact : Blade of Realities

    Slann Starmaster (260) - General
    - Command Trait : Vast Intellect
    - Artefact : Incandescent Rectrices

    Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur (280)
    - Artefact : Coronal Shield

    Saurus Scar-Veteran on Carnosaur (240)
    - Warblade

    UNITS
    40 x Saurus Warriors (360) -Clubs

    40 x Saurus Warriors (360) -Clubs

    10 x Saurus Warriors (100) -Clubs

    BATTALIONS
    Fangs of Sotek (100)

    Sunclaw Starhost (130)

    TOTAL: 1950/2000
    WOUNDS: 128
    LEADERS: 4/6
    BATTLELINES: 3 (3+)
    BEHEMOTHS: 2/4
    ARTILLERY: 0/4

Alright, so what do y'all think? Really the idea is to charge straight in and smack face, of course this list works best against the multi wound Battleline units, such as Ork Brutes and the likes. Where the Carnosaurs Bloodroar ability can shine....twice!

The idea is to have the whole army as one tight nit unit, the Saurus really need to back up the Carnos so they dont get surrounded, and the Saurus need to go in and deal with enemy priority units. Mr Frog is just here to buff, Vast intellect to give some more options, no point teleporting both Carnos in somewhere and suddenly it gets swarmed. Charge in but do it together.

Lastly Sunblood takes all the buffs under the sun.....yeah, lets the Oldblood yell at him to get extra attacks while we pray he rolls those sweet 6's for maximum effort.

Looks like it should be okay against Orkz, but I would be wary of tackling the Brutes with your carnos. If you don't kill enough of them on the charge, they are well equipped to take you out in retaliation (reroll hits against units with 4+ wounds).

In general we are out-muscled in melee by Ironjawz, so you might be on the back-foot here - especially if he brings a Maw-Krusha. Good luck!

Are you sure the Carnosaur's Bloodroar stacks?

Hmm. I could try and fit in a Starpriest to increase damage on jaw attacks for the Carno. But yeah I agree. I usually find that I just cant out muscle the Orkz and have to run for points regardless of what I play. But I guess they're the advantages of each army

Fitting in a priest is difficult without losing some of the key synergies you have. You could drop the Scar-Vet for a Starpriest and Astrolith maybe?

This would give you rerolls and the venom, but like you said the extra bloodroar is bound to come in handy.

I would stick with your current list and fish for the Slann constellation that rerolls hits of 1. That might give your Saurus the edge they need to come out on top.
