    Hi there,
Welcome to my painting corner. Hopefully this blog will help me to paint more models regularly :).
    C&c always welcome.

    I'll start with my Skinks
    tmp_31009-P_20161014_145425_1229331485.jpg

    Things to do:
Paint the center spines orange, like on the head,
Add another layer on the weapon to give it a more"bronzey" look,
    Finish the shields.

    So...
Hope to give an update soon....
    Cheers.

Thanks a lot...Really cool if you like the Skinks :). Continued painting the scales of the spines aka basing them with hull red to paint them orange. I think you need the life span of a Slann to get everything painted:confused:.

So I finished the red scales on the spines. Will now start painting all the bling-bling as n810 mentioned ;).
Actually spending some days on holiday preparing 3 rippers and musing about the colour of the shields in general... I'm trying to find a color scheme for the shields that somehow connects the whole army. Nevertheless it shouldn't pop out too much as the lizardmen themselves already are colorful...
Any experiences or suggestions? I was thinking about sandy/earthy colours.
btw: always thankful for correcting spelling/grammar mistakes as I always try to improve my english :D

I'll post pictures when back at home.

Well, it's been quiet a time... Unfortunately I hadn't had much time to paint, and I needed a short break from painting a gazillion skinks at a time. So I switched tooooo:

    And another one:

Still not finished but gave me a break. Hope you like him :)

Looks pretty awesome so far. Do you want to design the wings, or are you thinking highlights and washes?

Actually I don't know o_O. But as I want the 'dyls with their orangeish (?) colours to stand out I'll keep the wings smooth and easy, so no design on them. Also I think too much will make the model's look to uneasy. I plan to make the heads blue/green.

Then yeah, a wash and some dry brushing dhould be good for the wings. Can't wait to see them completed

So here's one as an example, finished so far (yes I know... the shield(s) are still under construction)...

    and at another angle:

    20170219_125234.jpg

I also nearly finished my Ripperdactyls:
    20170219_125057.jpg
    20170219_125122.jpg

I'll redo the wings (I'll try to make them more skin tone/orange-ish. Unfortunately I messed one up as I didn't recognize I had purple paint on my glove...So sad. :D

    C&C as always welcome!

I like the Skinks, they remind me of mine, except the red parts and that they are far more detailed.
As for the Ripper: I'd love to hear which colors you used and in which order since I am planning to make some in a few weeks.

Ripper wings look great as is, very fleshy and realistic. I found the wings on rippers and terradons to be super unforgiving when painting and it looks like you nailed it
